New Age Wisdom 101
Learning the laws that manifest happiness, feeling good, good health, abundance, confidence, a sense of security, that feeling that all is well,
and control of your life is within the reach of each and every one of us.
For me it started when I took a Philosophy course and studied Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle,
and has culminated with the spiritual laws as stated in "Ask and It Is Given, bu Jerry & Esther Hicks.
My years at college opened my mind, and I learned how to find the answers
from the most knowlegable and trusted sources.
How to think things through, solve problems, weigh evidence,
probabilities, forsee their outcomes, and prioitize.
Next a common sense understanding of the care and feeding of the ego for self esteem and the most rational thinking.
This includes understanding emotional thinking
and preventing mistakes that affect our future.
This lead to a kind od street psychology and an understanding of others and what motivates them.
Most important I now understand how our thoughts determine our habits
and how these determine what the world (literaly, the universe) brings to our table.
Now that I'm seeing similar thinking from others in the Life Coaching fields,
I think that it is also time to revise a list
of what I think we should be teaching in our schools.
Here is my recommendation to the Department of Education and Welfare.
Students should be taught a little philosophy, but let's call it common sense
to make it more acceptable to the masses.
Here is a Common Sense 101 Curriculum:
How to think smart.
The importance of an open mind.
How to evaluate what is really important in your life and for your future.
How to get organized.
How to weigh outcomes, evaluate, prioritize.
How the mind works
How to think.
How to solve problems.
Where to find the most trusted sources of answers.
How to make decisions.
Evaluating and putting weight on the possibilities.
How to organize your life and build for your future.
(For adults: Where will you be next year? 5 years from now?)
How to handle relationships.
What is love?
Dealing with your fears.
How to handle finances.
Learning to love yourself.
How to build your ego and self esteem.
Benefits of higher self esteem:
Higher self esteem will give you the confidence to help you think more clearly
and to come up with smarter answers. I'm not kidding. :)
This will help immensely in all of your relationships.
Kids with higher self esteem don't get pushed around nearly as much by others in school.
How positive thinking and affirmations work.
The laws of attracting and manifesting.
The kingdom of heaven is within you. How to learn to find it for yourself.
The basis of all religions, and how these principals tie in with their teachings.
Misinterpretations and misunderstandings.
Why school or learning is important.
What are it's implications for your future.
Mankind is only 50,000 years old,
and it wasn't that long ago in mankind's evolution
that women achieved the right to vote.
We have a tendency to think we are smart and that we know it all,
but we are still like cave men
when it comes to understanding the forces that determine our lives.
We are still like fish when it comes to understanding our spiritual nature.
We do not realize that there is another reality outside of this ocean.
The good news is that the answers are here.
You are the place. Now is the time.
and control of your life is within the reach of each and every one of us.
